We’re a 5-Star Program dedicated to providing exceptional early childhood education. With locations in Brookfield, downtown Milwaukee, Fond du Lac, South Milwaukee, Oak Creek, Waukesha and West Allis, we proudly serve infants through school-age children. As a leading non-profit provider in Milwaukee County, we’re committed to fostering curiosity, imagination, and a lifelong love of learning for children—while creating a supportive, professional environment for our team.

Our Assistant Directors play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations, supporting staff and families, and maintaining the highest level of care and education. If you’re a detail-oriented, people-focused leader ready to make an impact, we’d love to have you on our team!

About the Role:

You’ll provide hands-on leadership to staff, assist with center operations, and help maintain compliance with all state and organizational standards. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow in leadership while making a meaningful difference in the lives of children, families, and educators.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support daily center operations, ensuring smooth workflows and compliance with licensing regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with staff, families, and children to create a welcoming and supportive community.
  • Assist in mentoring and supporting teachers, fostering professional growth and high-quality educational practices.
  • Help implement our ELM (Early Learning Matters) curriculum and ensure alignment with our E.P.I.C. Curriculum.
  • Collaborate with leadership on scheduling, staffing, and center activities.
  • Serve as a point of contact for families, addressing questions, concerns, and celebrating successes.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and well-equipped center that supports learning and exploration.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including documentation, compliance, and reporting.

What We’re Looking For

  • Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
  • Previous experience in an early childhood education setting, preferably in a leadership or administrative role.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of state childcare licensing regulations and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Flexibility, creativity, and a passion for supporting children, families, and staff.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months).
  • Clear background check, health screening, and TB test.
