Job Description

As Director of Operations, you will be a key member of the site leadership team, reporting directly to the General Manager and driving the long-term success of the business. You will provide strategic and operational leadership across manufacturing, supply chain, maintenance, facilities, environmental health and safety, and continuous improvement functions. Your impact will be measured by your ability to deliver safe, efficient, and scalable operations while supporting growth, profitability, customer satisfaction, and workforce development.

What you'll do
  • Lead all operational functions to achieve performance goals in safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies that support business objectives and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence throughout the organization.
  • Convert customer demand into successful operational execution, ensuring commitments are met for delivery, quality, and cost performance.
  • Identify and implement sustainable improvements that enhance predictability, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Oversee maintenance and facilities programs to maximize equipment reliability, uptime, and site performance.
  • Lead process improvement and engineering initiatives, including capital investment projects and facility expansion efforts.
  • Promote workplace organization and visual management practices that create a safe, efficient, and professional environment.
  • Develop and coach a high-performing leadership team through succession planning, talent development, and performance management.
  • Partner with the General Manager and senior leadership team on strategic planning and business growth initiatives.
What you need
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university.MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
  • 7+ years related experience overseeing Operations in a Manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years leading multiple functional departments through subordinate managers.
  • Proven leadership, strategic planning, and operational excellence skills in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 6S methodologies with demonstrated implementation success
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and operational performance metrics.
  • Experience leading capital projects, facility improvements, or expansion initiatives.
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system experience; Infor XA experience - preferred
