Description
Mittera is currently seeking motivated individuals interested in joining our growing team as Part-Time Finishing Assistant! This position is entry-level and doesn't require previous experience. Finishing Assistants process work orders, locate product, and pack orders for shipment in accordance with the production schedule and customer specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Pick and package a variety of materials that require a limited assortment of packing procedures and techniques
  • Place, arrange, mark, seal, and tag items on pallets and in containers, bins, and bulk storage
  • Consolidate various items for shipment in accordance with standard operating instructions
  • Assemble finished products into boxes or containers for shipping
  • Count and sort various product items
  • Perform related tasks such as placing labels on packages and handling boxes in preparation for shipping
  • Ensure accurate shipping information is attached
  • Produces at quantity and quality levels in accordance with production requirements
  • Maintains area, worktables, equipment, and tooling in a neat, orderly condition
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Run Die Cutter as needed

Requirements
Required Skills and Abilities
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of routine picking procedures, techniques, equipment, and basic warehouse procedures preferred
  • Skilled in reading specifications and identifying the correct parts for fulfilling customer orders
  • Must have demonstrated mechanical ability and ability to use various assembly tools
  • Requires basic arithmetic and skill to measure, count and weigh products and materials
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Must be self-motivated, reliable, and quality, safety oriented

Physical Requirements
  • Requires use of proper body mechanics with pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, squatting, kneeling, and bending
  • Pushing/pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Requires fine motor hand and arm movement, manual dexterity, and coordination
  • Requires near visual acuity
  • Requires working around and operating departmental equipment
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department in the facility
  • Requires the ability to function in a professional manner under stressful circumstances
