The Operations Project Manager plays a crucial role in implementing the policies for Design for Excellence, Industrialization, Engineering, and Project Management.ย 

The Operations Project Managerย leveragesย technical expertise to oversee the safe launch of new products and engineering changes, ensuring successful and timely execution from impact analysis to first article inspection (FAI).ย 

Thisย Project Manager is responsible forย industrializingย our manufacturing processes to achieve optimal cost and quality while maintaining safe, sustainable practices and high environmental standards. Throughout the project lifecycle, the Operations Project Manager coordinates product industrialization efforts, including CAPEX required.ย 

OPM will be supportedย by manufacturing engineers,ย quality engineers,ย operations managers,ย process experts, and theย indirect sourcingย departmentย for industrialization.ย 

Duties and Responsibilities:ย ย 

  • Represent the operations in the Project Management Gate review process and coordinate the delivery of all mandatory activities for each product.ย 

  • Coordinateย manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, operations managers, process experts, and the indirect sourcing department for industrializationย 

  • Lead the OPS project team to successfully complete assigned tasks within schedule, allocated budgets, and scope to the required quality.ย ย 

  • Buildย a Project Master Plan for Operations, validateย it, and follow up on the planning and work breakdown structure forย each function allocated to the project.ย 

    • Oversee theย New Product Safe Launchย from impact analysis toย successful FAIย 

    • Creates CAPEX projects toย industrialize the manufacturing process.ย ย 

    Minimumย Qualifications:ย (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)ย ย 

    • Bachelor's degree, withย fiveย (5) years of Project Management experience in a manufacturing environment.ย ย 

    • Experience working inย theย passenger rail industry is preferred.ย ย 

    • New product introduction experience is a plusย 

    • PMP Certification is a plus.ย

    • Excellent communicator with strong written and organizational skillsย 

    • Capable of motivating, influencing,ย and building a successful team that manages multiple projects and meets deadlines.ย

    • Candidates should have solid knowledge of financial controlling tools, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience with ERP systems.ย 

    • Highly detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels and with customer representatives at various levels.ย

The salary rate for this role is currently $68,900-98,200 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
