How you will contribute to our National Security and Defense mission:
As an Education and Training Manager with MTSI, you will play a critical role in advancing the national security mission by sustaining and enhancing educational programs for all ANG and AFRC wings while developing the next generation of innovation-focused curricula. Operating with significant autonomy, you will serve as the primary education authority within the ARC innovation ecosystem, directly enabling the readiness, capabilities, and technological advancement that support national defense objectives.

Responsibilities:
Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
  • Manages elements of the ARCWERX Education as a team, coordinates strategic priorities, assigning duties, and overseeing various programmatic efforts to ensure alignment with the Air Force mission and the needs of the warfighter.
  • Exercises a high degree of independent judgment to manage portions of the life-cycle of a multi-faceted, enterprise-wide education portfolio. This includes strategic planning, resourcing, budgeting, execution, and continuous assessment of all innovation education programs.
  • Guides the team in maintaining existing educational programs while driving the development of the next generation of innovation-focused learning, ensuring the Air Force stays at the forefront of talent development.
  • Supports a high-paced operational schedule, including education-related travel, to assist with on-site execution and coordination of national-level workshops, bootcamps, and educational events.
  • Helps drive the design, development, and continuous improvement of all innovation curricula for the Air Reserve Component. This includes courses on human-centered design, lean startup methodologies, data analytics, and other emerging concepts.
  • Ensures all educational content is rooted in adult learning principles, is culturally relevant to the Citizen Airman, and is directly applicable to solving real-world operational challenges.
  • Supports ongoing research and evaluation of instructional methods and educational best practices from academia, industry, and government to enhance and modernize the ARCWERX learning programs.
  • Proactively identifies, forges, and sustains strategic partnerships with senior leaders at academic institutions (colleges and universities), venture capital firms, and industry partners to create new, high-impact educational pathways and experiential learning opportunities.
  • Develops and delivers high-level briefings and strategic communications to NGB senior leadership and General Officers, translating programmatic activities into clear strategic impact on readiness, retention, and lethality.

Qualifications Required:
  • 14+ years' experience working as an Instructor/Facilitator/Teacher or in a related field.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the organizational mission and interfaces with intelligence, Major Commands, Air Staff, DoD laboratories, and support agencies.
  • The ability to develop and give effective oral presentations and to effectively communicate in writing.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in an Education-related field (i.e. Psychology, Sociology, Social Work).
  • Master's degree in an Education-related field (i.e. Psychology, Sociology, Social Work).
  • 14+ years of related professional experience is accepted in lieu of a degree.

Even better if you have these desired skills:
  • Experience managing educational environments and supporting individuals in a classroom setting.

Clearance Requirements:
  • Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
