We are looking for a Director of Engineering who will be responsible for guiding Engineering design process of all new Erickson Senior Living Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) campus and building MEP designs through the construction process, with specific regard to the coordination of standards & guidelines, resident units, and overall building design for new development and repositioning projects as required.

How you will make an impact

  • Work in unison with corporate and community partners to develop cost effective building programs from initial Master Plan development and in accordance with operational models including MEP system selection
  • Partner with development project teams to develop and/or update Master Plans and/or Capital Plans for the existing communities as required
  • Work with Development team and corporate and community partners to establish and maintain best practices and guidelines for new construction, life-cycle and repositioning projects
  • Lead design consultants through standards, guidelines, policies and procedures as required for all new construction
  • Provide project guidance, including meeting attendance, drawing and specification review as required, to ensure conformance to Erickson brand for all projects as assigned
  • Coordinate architectural, interior design and engineering design with project teams to produce an overall cohesive project
  • Lead the process to provide feedback to the design teams regarding alternate design options or modifications required to maintain the Erickson brand and/or individual community requirements
  • Review and analyze MEP system options and participate in the selection process
  • Regularly, attend construction progress meetings, conduct site visits and approve mock-up and unit reviews to assist development teams with maintaining design conformance
  • Coordinate, and oversee third-party systems verification and building turnover processes

Compensation: $150,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year, plus eligibility for annual bonus

What you will need:

  • Experience working as a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer required
  • PE License strongly preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience-in and knowledge-of senior living and /or continuing care retirement community MEP Design
  • 10 years of general MEP design experience required
