Responsibilities
Peraton is hiring a full-time Data Analytics Manager to support critical missions within Peraton's Risk Decision Group.
This position is 100% Remote.
This role centers on developing scalable analytics frameworks, overseeing BI platform governance, and guiding a team of analysts in delivering actionable insights for mission critical programs. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in enterprise analytics, strong leadership capabilities, and advanced proficiency in business intelligence and data visualization platforms for dashboarding and data storytelling. This position is 100% remote.
Responsibilities
  • Design and manage enterprise analytics architectures, including data models, semantic layers, and reporting structures.
  • Lead development of advanced dashboards and visualizations using business intelligence and data visualization platforms (Tableau / MS PowerBI), ensuring clarity, performance, and user adoption.
  • Oversee creation of analytical datasets, KPIs, and metrics aligned with business and mission requirements.
  • Direct analysts in building ETL workflows and data pipelines supporting reporting and predictive analytics.
  • Implement governance standards for data quality, validation, lineage, and metadata documentation.
  • Partner with data engineering, operations, and leadership teams to translate business needs into scalable analytical solutions.
  • Conduct proactive performance tuning across BI platforms, including query optimization and dashboard load-time improvements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for analytics processes, data dictionaries, and compliance requirements.
  • Champion data literacy across the organization through training, communication, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a T5/SSBI federally adjudicated clearance
  • 10 years of experience, may have supervisory or lead experience
  • Expertise in Tableau Suite Mastery: Know Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep, and Tableau Server or Cloud for managing user licenses and publishing workflows
  • Strong development skillset, including calculated fields, LOD expressions, parameterization, and performance tuning.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for analytical querying, dataset preparation, and optimization.
  • Experience managing or mentoring analytics teams or cross-functional analyst groups.
  • Background in enterprise reporting platforms, BI governance, and data quality frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools (SSIS, Alteryx, or similar).
  • Knowledge of data integrity enforcement, metadata management, and documentation best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Enterprise Data Warehousing (EDW) environments.
  • Familiarity with Python or R for analytics, automation, or statistical modeling.
  • Experience with Power BI, Qlik, or other BI platforms.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD workflows for analytics deployment.
  • Background in statistical analysis, forecasting, or machine learning.

Target Salary Range
$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
