Job description

Data & Analytics Manager
Denver, CO
YES Communities, founded in 2008, owns and operates nearly 300 manufactured housing communities with locations across the United States. YES takes a new approach to manufactured home communities and works to build and maintain an environment in each community that reflects their positive YES attitude.
YES is seeking a Data & Analytics Manager to lead our Business Intelligence and Data Science teams, working alongside Data Engineering to turn raw data into better business decisions. This role owns the analytics roadmap in partnership with the Director of FP&A - building the systems and models the business runs on while managing and developing a high-performing team of analysts and data scientists. It is a hands-on role for someone who wants to build - not just maintain - a modern analytics function and directly shape how the business makes decisions.
What You'll Do
- Lead and develop the BI and Data Science team, fostering a collaborative, results-driven environment.
- Own and execute the analytics roadmap, aligning priorities with business goals and delivering high-impact initiatives.
- Partner with Data Engineering to shape and scale the data architecture, pipelines, and models that power analytics across the company.
- Build and deploy predictive models, forecasting tools, and advanced analytics to identify revenue opportunities, optimize expenses, and inform market dynamics, including supply and demand trends.
- Own and evolve Incorta dashboards, data models, and visualizations used across the business.
- Use SQL and Python to automate workflows, support ad hoc analysis, and deliver production-ready solutions.
- Establish and advance data governance through standardized definitions, documentation, and well-structured data flows.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to define requirements, resolve data issues, and translate complex analysis into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics or a related technical role, including 2+ years leading multi-disciplinary data teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Track record of analytical work that drove real business outcomes - pricing changes, forecast improvements, investment decisions, or operational shifts.
- Strong understanding of economic concepts, with a solid grasp of financial and accounting fundamentals and the ability to apply them to operational and strategic decisions.
- Strong proficiency in SQL (SQL Server and PostgreSQL), including data modeling, performance tuning, and working with large-scale datasets.
- Proficient in Python for data manipulation, automation, and building production-ready data workflows.
- Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing concepts, and designing scalable analytical data environments.
- Hands-on experience with statistical analysis and machine learning, with the ability to apply models to real business problems and guide technical teams.
- Experience designing scalable dashboards and data models in Incorta or similar BI tools (Tableau, Power BI).
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with experience influencing senior stakeholders.
- Experience with R is a plus.
