Job description

Data Analytics Manager

Location: This is a remote position

Travel: Up to 25 percent, with heavier travel expected during onboarding and key initiatives

Department: FP&A / Data Analytics

Reports To: Sr. Director of FP&A

Position Overview

As a Data Analytics Manager in the FP&A group, you will play a key role in building out analytics capabilities from the ground up. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will lead reporting and analytics development, partner with business teams, and drive meaningful insights that support decision-making across the organization. You will operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, balancing business partnership, technical depth, and process improvement. A critical component of this role is designing, building, and executing a scalable data lake and data architecture to serve as the single source of truth for the enterprise. This role offers the opportunity to influence how the business thinks about and uses data, while shaping future team structure as opportunities and requests grow.

Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership and Development
  • Build and shape a high-performing analytics team as needs grow
  • Provide direction, mentorship, and coaching to future analysts
  • Foster a collaborative, results-focused team environment centered on learning and execution
Strategic Partnership and Collaboration
  • Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities for improved reporting, process efficiency, and data-backed decision-making
  • Translate business needs into actionable analytics solutions in alignment with strategic priorities
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with Finance, Operations, IT, and other support teams
  • Design and implement best-in-class data drivers and performance metrics to accelerate decision-making
Data Architecture and Engineering
  • Design, build, and execute a scalable enterprise data lake and supporting data architecture
  • Establish raw, curated, and reporting data layers to support analytics and reporting needs
  • Develop and manage ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data from SAP S/4HANA, Digital Manufacturing, and legacy systems
  • Ensure data governance, data quality, and consistency across the enterprise to enable a true single source of truth
  • Evaluate and implement appropriate cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, Snowflake, etc.) to support scalability and performance
Data Analytics and Reporting
  • Build and manage scalable dashboards and reports using Power BI and other tools
  • Develop models and run ad hoc analyses tied to financial and operational goals
  • Automate data processes using tools such as SQL, Python, R, or Alteryx
Process Improvement and Innovation
  • Identify and implement improvements in reporting structure, accuracy, and delivery
  • Maintain and optimize database environments to ensure data reliability and scalability
  • Stay current with trends in analytics, visualization, and automation to bring forward innovative solutions
Training and Communication
  • Support business partners in effectively using dashboards and self-serve analytics tools
  • Present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ensure documentation of key metrics, calculations, and methodologies is accurate and transparent
Minimum QualificationsEducation and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in data analytics, FP&A, business intelligence, or data engineering
  • Hands-on experience building dashboards and reports, preferably in Power BI
  • Proficiency in SQL with exposure to scripting languages such as Python or R
  • Hands-on experience designing and building data lakes or enterprise data environments
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and communicate insights effectively
Skills and Competencies
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Highly organized and self-motivated with the ability to manage time independently in a remote work environment
  • Comfortable working across distributed teams and managing competing priorities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in manufacturing, CPG, or operational environments
  • Familiarity with SAP (S/4HANA, ECC, or BW) data structures
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure, or AWS
  • Experience with Alteryx, DAX, or Power Query for automation and transformation
  • Experience integrating SAP data into modern data lake architectures
