Job description

ERP Master Data Analyst – Product Configuration & BOM ManagementLocation

Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)

Position Summary

We are seeking an ERP Master Data Analyst to support product configuration, material master data management, and Bill of Materials (BOM) maintenance within a manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for maintaining product data integrity, supporting ERP and configurator systems, and ensuring accurate product structures throughout the order-to-cash process.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with ERP systems, product master data, BOMs, and cross-functional teams supporting manufacturing, supply chain, operations, and engineering functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and manage material master data, product attributes, and related system records.
  • Create, update, and maintain product configuration rules, logic, and product structures within configurator systems.
  • Develop and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support manufacturing and operational requirements.
  • Ensure product data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established data governance standards.
  • Support implementation of new products, product changes, and system enhancements.
  • Execute data updates, corrections, and maintenance activities across ERP and related business systems.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Operations.
  • Assist with testing, validation, and deployment of system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Create and maintain documentation, procedures, and work instructions related to master data and configuration processes.
  • Analyze data issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve data quality.
  • Support user training and provide ongoing guidance regarding system functionality and best practices.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on process efficiency and data integrity.
QualificationsRequired
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing Systems, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting ERP systems, master data management, product data management, or business systems administration.
  • Experience maintaining material master records, product structures, or BOMs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
  • Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, Epicor, or similar systems.
  • Experience with product configurators, configure-to-order products, or rules-based product configuration tools.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain, or operations processes.
  • Experience with data governance, data quality initiatives, and process documentation.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, testing, or validation activities.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Continuous Improvement, or process optimization methodologies.
