Job description

Title: IT Program Manager

Contract: 11 Months

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Program Manager with 10+ years of experience leading complex technology programs and multiple interdependent IT projects. This role is responsible for defining program strategy, establishing long-term objectives, managing program budgets, and ensuring projects collectively support the organization’s strategic and business goals.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in IT program management, project portfolio coordination, budgeting, strategic planning, stakeholder management, risk management, and executive communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate overall IT program strategy, objectives, priorities, and expected business outcomes.

  • Assess the impact of technology programs and initiatives on business operations.

  • Identify, organize, and manage multiple dependent projects required to achieve overall program goals.

  • Coordinate IT programs and activities in alignment with organizational strategy and business priorities.

  • Develop new IT programs to support the strategic direction of the organization.

  • Establish and manage long-term program goals, roadmaps, milestones, and deliverables.

  • Develop and manage program budgets, forecasts, and operating plans.

  • Monitor project dependencies, risks, issues, schedules, resources, and overall program performance.

  • Coordinate across IT, business teams, vendors, and project stakeholders.

  • Ensure individual projects remain aligned with overall program objectives.

  • Provide program status, risks, financial updates, and recommendations to senior leadership.

  • Establish governance, reporting, and performance metrics for assigned programs.

  • Drive issue resolution and remove obstacles that may impact program delivery.

  • Support continuous improvement of IT program and project management processes.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of IT program management, project management, or related technology leadership experience.

  • Experience managing large, complex programs involving multiple interdependent IT projects.

  • Strong knowledge of program planning, governance, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage long-term technology roadmaps.

  • Experience developing budgets and operating plans for large IT initiatives.

  • Strong stakeholder and executive relationship management skills.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

  • Proven ability to work effectively across business and technology organizations.

Preferred Skills

  • Enterprise IT transformation experience.

  • Project portfolio management experience.

  • Experience managing vendors and third-party technology partners.

  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.

  • Experience with enterprise applications, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, or digital transformation programs.

  • PMP, PgMP, Agile, or related program/project management certification preferred.
