Perfect for someone who thrives outside the routine, the Assistant Innkeeper moves seamlessly between hosting, planning events, and day-to-day operations. From curating memorable gatherings at the Alcove Bar to bringing new ideas to life across the guest experience, this role is perfect for someone who loves to create moments, not just manage them.

The Assistant Innkeeper helps shape the rhythm, energy, and personality of The Gables in collaboration with the Innkeeperโ€”creating a place that feels both distinctive and deeply connected to its community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Guest Experience & Operations

  • Execute day-to-day hotel operations and administrative tasks in a Jack/Jill of all trades manner that includes rooms, housekeeping, food & beverage, events, and maintenance.
  • Ensure service excellence across all touchpoints, resolving guest concerns with professionalism and care.
  • Maintain high standards in cleanliness, safety, and operational compliance with all laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Interact with guests to gather feedback and continuously improve experiences.

Creative Direction & Programming

  • Assist in the development and execution of authentic and community supporting programming across the property including seasonal events, pop-ups, and collaborations.
  • Ensure curated menus, in-house music, and brand experiences reflect The Gablesโ€™ identity.
  • Collaborate with marketing to promote events, drive revenue, and strengthen brand positioning.

Team Leadership & Culture

  • Assist in recruiting, training, coaching, and mentoring associates across all departments, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and professional work environment.
  • Lead by example in hospitality, creativity, and accountability.
  • Conduct on-the-floor coaching to ensure operational standards are consistently met.
  • Uphold company values, policies, and culture in all staff and guest interactions.

Financial & Strategic Management

  • Assist in developing and managing budgets, payroll, and inventory for hotel and F&B operations.
  • Monitor financial performance, KPIs, and revenue trends, implementing strategies to maximize profitability.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce food safety, labor, and licensing regulations across all outlets.
  • Maintain a safe, welcoming, and clean environment for guests and staff.
  • Ensure that all HR policies and operational procedures are followed consistently.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-4 years of management experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, mentorship, and team-building skills.
  • Tech savvy, creative, collaborative, and detail-oriented, with a passion for hospitality.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
  • Must have a flexible schedule as this is a 24/7 property.

COMPENSATION

Starting salary at $60-$65 commensurate with experience. In addition, we offer paid time off, and holiday pay.
