Job description

In this role, you will lead the overall success of a full-service Branch by driving sales performance, business development, member service excellence, and operational effectiveness. You will be responsible for developing and coaching branch employees, growing branch deposits and loans, building community relationships, and ensuring the branch consistently achieves performance goals while maintaining compliance and security standards.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Leadership and Business Development
  • Lead branch sales, referral, and service efforts to achieve branch and organizational goals.
  • Establish individual sales and referral goals for branch employees and monitor performance against expectations.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, training, and feedback to improve sales effectiveness, product knowledge, and member engagement.
  • Conduct regular sales and product knowledge meetings to review performance and identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase branch loan production, deposit growth, and membership growth.
  • Build relationships within the local community through networking, community involvement, and business development activities.
  • Conduct service calls and maintain relationships with Select Employee Groups (SEGs) and other business partners within the assigned territory.

Member Service Excellence
  • Foster a culture of exceptional member service and accountability throughout the branch.
  • Monitor service quality and provide coaching and development to ensure a consistently positive member experience.
  • Personally address and resolve member concerns, complaints, and escalated service issues.
  • Follow up with members who provide feedback through member satisfaction surveys and service recovery initiatives.
  • Assist members with account and loan solutions, including consumer loan and mortgage applications when needed.

Team Leadership and Development
  • Recruit, hire, train, develop, and retain high-performing branch employees.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and maintain appropriate performance documentation.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, counseling, recognition, and professional development opportunities for staff.
  • Cross-train employees to improve operational efficiency, service delivery, and team flexibility.
  • Communicate organizational updates, policies, procedures, and initiatives to branch employees.

Operations, Compliance, and Risk Management
  • Maintain responsibility for the operational integrity, security, and compliance of the branch.
  • Conduct or oversee monthly branch self-audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings and operational issues.
  • Monitor general ledger transactions and ensure discrepancies are resolved promptly and accurately.
  • Ensure adherence to all credit union policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and security standards.
  • Safeguard branch assets and maintain a secure environment for members and employees.

Branch Performance and Administration
  • Monitor branch performance metrics and drive accountability for achieving results.
  • Manage branch staffing, scheduling, and expenses within approved guidelines.
  • Identify operational improvements and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Independently manage the daily operations and priorities of a full-service branch.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience within a financial institution branch environment preferred.
  • Experience leading sales, service, and business development initiatives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and relationship-building skills.

CERTIFICATIONS
  • NMLS registration required upon hire.

Our pay ranges are designed to allow for candidates with various levels of experience and skill to be considered, and to allow room for growth to be achieved in a role over time. Generally, new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their individual combination of experience, knowledge, skills, and education as well as internal equity.
