Job description

As directed by show producers and associate producers (APs), the Assistant Content Producer will provide support to both remote and studio productions by logging and editing video footage, writing copy when necessary, researching, and archiving video. Assistant Content Producers will also produce graphics for studio programs and operate the Scorebug for live Red Sox and Bruins broadcasts.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Screen, log, clear and melt video footage
  • Edit highlights
  • Write and/or edit feature packages as directed. Assist producers and APs in securing and organizing production materials for events and studio shows, including rundown copying and distribution
  • Program and update The Edge (ticker for studio shows)
  • Operate the teleprompter
  • Compose Ross Xpression graphics for studio productions
  • Operate the TV Graphics Scorebug in live game productions
  • Provide administrative support including labeling, photocopying, mailing etc.
  • Perform other related production tasks and assignments as required

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of various aspects of live sports production
  • Familiarity with the major New England sports teams and their history, particularly the Red Sox and Bruins and also including the Patriots and Celtics
  • Solid Internet research skills
  • Video editing experience preferred
  • Creativity, drive and ability to contribute ideas to our productions
  • Organizational skills: strong work ethic, reliable and professional demeanor, effective communication and interpersonal skills and a positive “can-do” attitude
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, loosely structured and rapidly evolving environment, at times in a team context and at others with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to work weekends, nights and holidays as needed

  • Occasional travel for Bruins or Red Sox remote productions


The expected range for this position is $22.00 to $25.00 per hour. The final offer will be determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and internal equity.
