Job description

General Food Service Worker

Summary:

Provides general labor for tasks related to food service and other task6 to ensure smooth operations of the Fire Pod. Assist in the set-up, operations and tear down of any particular area which they may be assigned.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assist cooks in preparation and safe handling of food in mobile kitchen.
  • Assists leads in any of the preparation and safe handling of food or beverages.
  • Assists in the cleanliness of the serving, dinning, preparation or any other area of the base camp.
  • Serves meals.
  • Washes dishes and performs other general and assigned cleaning tasks.
  • Assists with camp set up and tear down.
  • Assist with inventory and moving food supplies.
  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training;
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Food service and food preparation experience preferred.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customer,
  • Ability to effectively present information.
