Job description

Overview

Sugarloaf is looking for computer savvy and mechanically inclined individuals to join our Snowmaking Team as our Night Shift Controllers. Snowmaking Controllers monitor and control pumps and compressors in the system from the control room as needed and as requested by the snowmaking teams on the hill.

Candidates need to be good communicators that enjoy working independently within a team environment to share pertinent information with the snowmaking team. Computer skills are required to run the program for water pumps, compressors, maintenance logs, and to make decisions for the snowmaking operation. A Controller must able to maximize efficiency; run necessary components according to temperature, monitor water and air flows; and must be able to turn compressors and pumps on and off accordingly.

Starting wage fro this role is $20/hour, comes with great job perks and a soild. supportive team. 


Responsibilities
  • Monitor computer and control pumps/compressors.
  • Maintain equipment logs.
  • Perform light maintenance on equipment.
  • Communicate needed actions and changes with on-hill snowmaking team. 

Qualifications

Good communication skills are a must.

Must be at least 18 years old. 

Must be available for nights and weekends.
