As a Applications Engineer at Nova you will play a key role in implementing and optimizing advanced optical metrology systems for international semiconductor customers.

You will work closely with cross‑functional teams and customers and develop applications and solutions, create measurement programs, and support system acceptance testing. Your expertise will ensure that Nova’s solutions deliver real value and meet the highest standards of performance and precision.

You will also conduct customer‑specific training and present application‑focused content to support successful system use.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and control the use of optical sensors and software to accurately measure parameters in semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for customers in close collaboration with Nova’s global teams.
  • Set up measurement programs for optical metrology systems and prepare them for delivery.
  • Support on‑site customer via working closely with application, service team and system experts in developing reliable and robust solutions.
  • Support the service team and provide training for customers, both on‑site and remotely.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge of the semiconductor process and industry trends.
Requirements
  • Master Degree or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science or relevant field.
  • Experience in metrology, optics, semiconductors, or sensor technology is a plus.
  • 2-3 years of experience in the semiconductor manufacturing environment.
  • Having experience in Advance Packaging Process flow is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with a professional and confident presence.
  • Excellent skills in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with MATLAB, Octave, Python, or similar programming tools is preferred.
  • Be able to travel up to 25%, both domestic and international.
  • Self‑starter with high energy and strong work ethics with the highest degree of integrity and dignity.
  • Must be fluent in English language, both writing and verbal communications.
