Assistant General Manager

Upscale Restaurant | Downtown Toronto
Base Salary: $70,000 + Bonus + RRSP + 3 Weeks Paid Vacation

We are partnering with an established and growing corporate restaurant group to recruit an Assistant General Manager for a premium downtown Toronto location. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional who thrives in an upscale, high-energy environment and is looking for long-term career growth with a company that invests in its people.

The Opportunity
Working alongside the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager will play a key leadership role in the day-to-day operation of the restaurant. You will help lead and develop the front-of-house team while maintaining exceptional standards for hospitality, service, food and beverage execution, and overall guest experience.
We are looking for an established, polished restaurant manager who understands the expectations of an upscale dining environment and knows how to create memorable guest experiences while building a strong, engaged team.

What You'll Do
  • Support the General Manager in all aspects of restaurant operations
  • Lead, coach, motivate, and develop a high-performing service team
  • Maintain exceptional standards of hospitality and guest service
  • Act as a visible and professional presence on the restaurant floor
  • Oversee daily service execution and ensure operational consistency
  • Support training, scheduling, labour management, and performance development
  • Develop strong knowledge of the restaurant's food, wine, cocktail, and beverage programs
  • Build relationships with guests and effectively resolve service concerns
  • Help drive sales, profitability, guest satisfaction, and team engagement
  • Maintain company standards for quality, cleanliness, safety, and operational excellence
