Job description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Childcare Center Assistant Director located in Puyallup, WA. The Childcare Center Assistnt Director will be responsible for helping the Center Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of the childcare center, including supervising staff, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children, and communicating with parents and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in Developing, implementing and review policies and procedures for the childcare center
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Manage staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
  • Assist in planning and implementing educational and recreational activities for the children
  • Monitor the safety and well-being of the children at all times
  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility
  • Develop and maintain relationships with parents and other stakeholders
  • Assist in preparing reports and other documentation as needed

Qualifications

  • 20 ECE Credit, Short certification, at least 2 years as a Lead Teacher or 6 months experience in childcare administration or management or a related field
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to childcare
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage and motivate staff
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with parents and other stakeholders
