Position Summary

Charlotte Football Club is the Major League Soccer Club in the Carolinas. Owned by David Tepper, Charlotte FC is a part of Tepper Sports & Entertainment, including Bank of America Stadium and the Carolina Panthers.

Charlotte FC is looking for an experienced Digital Platforms Coordinator to manage key components of two of the Club's digital platforms, the website and mobile app. This role will collaborate closely with both the marketing & digital content teams and report to the Senior Manager of Digital Platforms. The primary goals of this role are to enhance user experiences on the web and app and support in improving key performance indicators (KPIs). The coordinator will focus on creating personalized journeys for fans to deepen their engagement with the brand, as well as contribute to developing, innovating, and optimizing fan experiences on these platforms.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day support on Charlotte FC digital platforms – first team websites & app – including but not limited to posting videos, photo albums, articles, SEO optimization, page building, etc.
  • Work with the larger marketing team to ideate and integrate new platforms and products to enhance the user experience,increase fans’ overall knowledge,and open new revenuestreams
  • Create lead generation forms and campaign landing pages with relevant tracking tags for source attribution
  • Support and execute sponsored activations and digital experiences for fan engagement across platforms
  • Provide detailed analytics and KPI reports on site performance, with recommended actions for several stakeholders for precise responses and improvement
  • Collaborate with partnerships to create sponsored and engaging features that enhance the brand to generate leads, and use the digital platforms to create custom user journeys for fans to become more engaged with the brand
  • Matchday web and app content management
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in marketing, business, or communications
  • 1-3 years’ experience running large-scale websites or apps for a professional organization (previous sports team experience is a plus, but not mandatory)
  • Experience creating compelling digital experiences - on websites and mobile apps
  • Knowledge of website back-end content management systems
  • Full understanding of the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with page building and UI/UX best practices
  • Must pass pre-employment screens

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience using data-driven insights to understand what is working and what needs improvement within the digital space
  • Complete working knowledge within website content management systems – WordPress, Drupal, pocket, custom-coded CMS, Forge, etc.
  • Editorial or long-form exposure experience
  • Familiarity with the overall mobile app ecosystem and can optimize user experience on mobile app platforms
  • Experience within a fast-paced industry
