Job description

The Banquet Food Server is responsible for serving guests food and beverages in a positive and timely manner, while collaborating with staff to ensure a smooth event.

Duties:

  • Provide friendly and accurate service throughout the event.

  • Inspect the banquet rooms prior to events to ensure they align with the banquet event order.

  • Assist Captains in getting the room count to the Banquet kitchen.

  • Maintain knowledge of Peppermill amenities, particularly with public space facilities.

  • Ensure Banquet rooms and storage areas are kept clean and organized.

  • Report low supply inventories to management.

  • Report any maintenance, cleaning and repair needs to management.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.

  • Two or more years of food serving experience.

  • Knowledgeable of food, wine and fine dining etiquette.

  • Must be able to service a buffet food line to ensure the highest quality of food is maintained.

  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Must be able to work independently in a fast-pasted environment.

  • Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English.
