Starting Salary: $18.00 plus shift differential
Employment Type: Full-time
Work Environment:
Schedule 1 is Tuesday and Wednesday 10:30 pm - 6:30 am, Saturday and Sunday from 6:30 am - 6:30 pm and holidays. Alternating Mondays.
Job Summary:
The Night Boiler Operator is to assist in maintaining the boilers after hours. They will also patrol the plant hourly as fire watch and security.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform basic boiler maintenance
  • Maintain boiler log hourly
  • Patrol the plant regularly and use the Guard system to keep accurate tracking
  • Protect the company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
  • Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences and report in detail any suspicious activities
  • Watch alarm systems and video cameras
  • Perform basic janitorial jobs as needed

Requirements:
  • Ability to work independently
  • Surveillance skills and detail-oriented person
  • Basic mechanical skills
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous boiler experience a plus

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally, and/or up to 25 lbs frequently
  • Regularly required to use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms
  • Regular bending, stooping, stretching, twisting, and turning
  • Frequently required to stand (up to 10 hours) and walk
  • Noise level is usually moderate
  • Exposure to head and cold extremes at times
  • Exposure to potentially hazardous production areas (heavy equipment traffic, slip/trip hazards, airborne dust/debris, etc)
