COLLEGE BURSAR ASSISTANT II
BUSINESS OFFICE DEPARTMENT
OLIVE-HARVEY COLLEGE
Olive-Harvey College is seeking a full time College Bursar Assistant II. Responsible for maintaining PeopleSoft Student and Financial systems relating to student accounts including maintenance, billing and collection to students and external agencies.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Responsible for the same duties as the College Bursar Assistant I.
  2. Distributes loan checks and refund checks.
  3. Maintains PeopleSoft Student and Financial systems as it pertains to student accounts and its interface.
  4. Maintains financial records of student receivables and promissory notes.
  5. Processes billing, collections, and refunding of student accounts to students and external agencies.
  6. Audits student accounts and prepares charges.
  7. Reviews daily bank deposits and daily cash reports.
  8. Monitors and processes cashiering batches and feeds into Student Financial System.
  9. Places hold on student accounts.
  10. Reviews and analyzes miscellaneous general ledger accounts pertaining to student receivables.
  11. Prepares and analyzes reports related to student accounts and cashiering.
  12. Responds to student inquiries and resolves problems related to charges and refunds.
  13. Processes third party billings.
  14. Assists in student registration activities.
  15. Trains College Bursar Assistant I.
  16. Adheres to CCC Customer Service Excellence standards.
  17. Performs related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates Degree and a minimum of 3-5 years experience in general accounting and bookkeeping work; or an equivalent combination of training or experience.
Good knowledge of basic accounting principles and techniques. Good knowledge of accounting and auditing terminology. Knowledge of accounting software a plus.
Ability to prepare and maintain accounting records. Ability to write simple financial statements and reports. Ability to supervise work of student assistants.
Good organizational skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills required
Salary Range: $57,132.750 annual
This position is represented by the Local 1708 Union.
Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as other factors such as internal equity.
