Hiring on a rolling basisTITLE: Substitute Principals and Assistant Principals - System Wide
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Substitute building administrators (principals and assistant principals) are needed throughout the district at all levels to support school leadership teams in ensuring a rigorous, engaging and joyful learning experiences for all students. The substitute building administrator will assist with administering and supervising the total school program and providing educational leadership for students and staff members consistent with the educational goals of the community.
Interviews are scheduled approximately once per month, so please note that it may be a several weeks until you hear from the PPS HR Department about an appointment. Thank you in advance for your interest!
CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Maine State fingerprint (CHRC) authorization (more info here - total cost is $70)
  • Maine State Administrator Certificate with one of the following endorsements (more info):
    • 040 Building Administrator [preferred]
    • 045 Assistant Building Administrator [minimum requirement]

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS:
  • Temporary, hourly role
