Responsibilities
  • Lead the coordination drawing process and provide direction on model coordination, as required.
  • Review and interpret prime contract requirements and building systems subcontract scopes, supporting effective contract administration of trade contractors.
  • Assist with the review of change notices and change orders related to building systems, assessing impacts to scope, pricing and schedule.
  • Coordinate with utility providers to ensure services are delivered in alignment with the project schedule.
  • Review building systems trade contractor quality management programs for completeness and compliance with project specifications.
  • Attend and contribute to management, owner and architect meetings related to building systems.
  • Coordinate and monitor building systems trade activities and support enforcement of approved quality management programs.
  • Adhere to and actively support internal safety programs and site safety requirements.
  • Understand and support the planning and coordination of temporary services required throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
  • Trades qualification or post-secondary diploma/degree in a related discipline (e.g., mechanical, electrical, controls, or similar).
  • Three years of progressive experience in mechanical and/or electrical construction is preferred.
  • Understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems, principles and practices. 
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability when responding to changing project demands and deadlines.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, architectural, civil and structural drawings. 
  • Working knowledge of applicable building codes and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet conflicting deadlines, and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Comfortable working in an active construction site environment and collaborating with project teams and trade partners.
  • Understanding of architectural and other trade scopes and how they interface with building systems.
