What is an assistant building official?

An Assistant Building Official is a professional who supports the Building Official in administering and enforcing building codes, regulations, and ordinances within a municipality or jurisdiction. Their duties often include reviewing building plans, conducting inspections, issuing permits, and assisting with code compliance. They may also provide guidance to contractors, property owners, and the public regarding building standards.
