Black Desert Resort, located in the stunning landscape of Southern Utah, offers an ultra-premuim dining experience with Latitude Restaurant, a venue known for its cuisine, exceptional service, and upscale atmosphere. The Food & Beverage Department plays a critical role in ensuring an unparalleled guest dining experience, operational efficiency, and team leadership. In addition to Latitude, this position provides oversight and support for Lava Love Coffee Bar and Flo & Pool Bar, ensuring a seamless guest experience across multiple beverage outlets.

Job Summary:

The Food & Beverage Manager at Latitude Restaurant is responsible for overseeing all front-of-house (FOH) operations, ensuring seamless service, maintaining high-quality guest experiences, and optimizing restaurant performance. Reporting to the General Manager of Lobby Restaurants, this role leads FOH staff, service execution, training, and financial performance while upholding Black Desert Resort's luxury service standards. Additionally, the Food & Beverage Manager will assist in overseeing the daily operations of Lava Love Coffee Bar, Flo Bar & Pool Bar, ensuring these outlets meet resort service expectations and operate efficiently.

Job Specifications:

Onsite: Black Desert Resort - Latitude Restaurant, Lava Love Coffee Bar, Flo Bar & PoolShift & Schedule Availability: Year-Round / Full-TimePay Rate: $60,000 - $65,000/yr. This is the pay rate we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Help oversee daily front-of-house operations at Latitude Restaurant, Lava Love Coffee Bar, Flo Bar & Pool area ensuring seamless service and adherence to Black Desert Resort's hospitality standards.
  • Lead and train servers, bartenders, baristas, and hosts, fostering a high-performing and guest-focused team.
  • Work closely with the General Manager of Lobby restaurants and outlet chef to align service and kitchen operations.
  • Ensure all FOH staff are knowledgeable about menu offerings, wine pairings, specialty coffee beverages, and craft cocktails.
  • Assist in staff scheduling, labor cost control, and operational planning to maintain efficiency across all venues.
  • Handle guest relations, addressing inquiries, special requests, and service recovery when necessary.
  • Monitor and maintain restaurant, bar, pool, coffee bar cleanliness, presentation, and ambiance, ensuring a refined dining and beverage experience.
  • Support inventory control, ordering, and stock management for FOH operations at all outlets.
  • Lead pre-shift meetings, communicating service expectations, menu updates, and operational goals.
  • Oversee cash handling, POS transactions, and accurate financial reporting across all beverage outlets.
  • Assist in planning and executing special events, and VIP dining experiences.
  • Attend mandatory orientations and trainings. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of restaurant or food & beverage management experience, preferably in a luxury or fine dining setting.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train and develop FOH staff.

  • Deep understanding of hospitality, service flow, and upscale dining operations.

  • Knowledge of coffee programs and craft cocktail service.

  • Experience with POS systems, reservations software, and inventory management.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on restaurant and bar operations.

  • ServSafe and responsible alcohol service certification preferred.
