Toscano Herriman is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to help lead our back-of-house operations with professionalism, accountability, and a passion for great food.

What You'll Do
As our Assistant Kitchen Manager, you will support the Kitchen Manager/Chef in the daily operation of the kitchen while ensuring exceptional food quality, food safety, and team performance.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in overseeing all daily back-of-house operations.
- Lead by example while maintaining Toscano Herrima's standards for food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and presentation.
- Supervise, Train, Coach, and Develop Kitchen Staff.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management.
- Maintain proper staffing levels and assist in managing labor costs.
- Ensure compliance with all health department regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.
- Monitor food preparation to ensure recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards are consistently followed.
- Assist in inventory management, ordering, receiving, and product rotation.
- Help control food costs by minimizing waste and monitoring portion control.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
- Work closely with the Front of House management team to ensure efficient service and an exceptional guest experience.
- Assist in reviewing kitchen performance and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Step into the Kitchen Manager role when needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum two (2) years of recent kitchen management or kitchen leadership experience in a full-service restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, sanitation, and food safety.
- Proven ability to Lead, Motivate, and Develop Kitchen Teams.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with inventory management, ordering, food cost control, and labor management.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional extended shifts as business needs require.

Salary: $60,000–$65,000 annually, depending on experience.
