Job Description: Job Summary: The Benefits Coordinator position is responsible for administration of the RMI benefit plans. This role requires excellent customer service competences, the ability to work on teams, attention to detail, and exceptional organization skills by performing the following essential functions:Duties/Responsibilities:• Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s benefits strategy for administering benefits and identifying new partners to help streamline processes. • Leads and helps direct the daily routine functions of benefits department, including organizing and scheduling benefit meetings, trainings, demos and rollout of products.• Maintains partnerships with clients and vendors and helps oversee the team’s accountability with company policies and practices.• Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits.• Provides administrative support and troubleshooting for 401k plans. Audits and assists in sending the weekly 401k file to our TPA.• Conduct benefits orientations and explain benefits self-enrollment system, including creating informational videos to be used in webinars or uploaded to the appropriate RMI platform. • Maintain employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in payroll system for payroll deduction.• Scans and files employee benefit paperwork to personnel files.• Assist employees with health, dental, life and other related benefit claims.• Verify the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies and maintain statistical data relative to premiums, claims and costs. Resolve administrative problems with the carrier representatives.• Assist Benefits Manager in obtaining statistics and information in renewal process of any health, life and retirement plans that benefit the company.• Prepare and set up meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits and other related incentive programs. Ensure distribution of required employee notices.• Assist Benefits Manager in completing benefits reporting requirements.• Ability to work cohesively and respectfully with benefit vendors and sales team.• Other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities: • Two or more years of experience in a Benefits Department or Insurance Company • Working knowledge of employee benefits• Strong computer skills; including Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook• Strong mathematical skills and exposure to auditing benefit plans• Demonstrated attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and superior customer service and teamworkEducation and Experience:• Bachelor’s Degree or one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experiencePhysical Requirements: • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities. Additional Information: Paid Holidays after 30 days of full time employment. Paid Vacation and Personal Time Company 401K match is 100% of the first 6% of gross compensation. Section 125 Cafeteria “pre-tax” plans available (premiums, flexible medical and childcare spending accounts). 50,000 Life & 10,000 AD&D Insurance Policy paid by RMI. Company Paid Long Term Disability Insurance (benefit of 60% of the employee’s weekly salary) after 30 days of full time employment for non-work related illness or injury. Eligible for RMI Health, Dental, and Supplemental plans through payroll deduction the first of the month following 30 days of full time employment. RMI will contribute towards Health or Dental premiums for full time employees. Payroll Direct Deposit available. Payroll Pay Cards are also available. Eligible for Discount Ticket Programs currently available to RMI clients. Company paid educational seminars. $35,360 - $41,600
