POSITION SUMMARY: A Barback is an assistant to the Bartender. They ensure bartenders have the supplies they need to provide service to customers. A Barback has many responsibilities, including serving.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conducts and oversees the daily activities of the stock room and bar area.
• Must be able to lift 20-75 pounds in a repetitive motion as needed.
• Maintain full stock of the bar and stock room on a daily basis.
• Transport stock products to and from the bar.
• Report any missing or stolen items to the manager immediately.
• Clean store and stock room as needed to maintain compliance.
• Responsible for learning all areas of store operations to include bartending cleaning, expediting drinks.
• Responsible for maintaining the keg and CO2 log at all times.
• Must stock the coolers, bar cages, and any other areas of the store at all times.
Essential Physical Functions:
  • Ability to stand/walk for 8-10 hours per day.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Will frequently stand, walk, reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate and key in data.
  • Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors.
  • Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music and customer traffic.
  • Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, and soy.
  • Report to work in a complete required uniform.
  • Maintain a well-manicured appearance and persona that reflect the restaurant's image.
  • Meet personal schedule requirements punctually.
  • Be courteous, friendly, and professional.
