Our Service Department is a key part of that reputation, and we are looking for an experienced, motivated Service Advisor to join our team.
Position Summary
The Service Advisor is the primary point of contact between our customers and our Service Department. This position is responsible for creating an exceptional customer experience while accurately identifying service needs, recommending appropriate repairs and maintenance, and effectively communicating with customers and technicians throughout the repair process.
The ideal candidate is confident, professional, organized, customer-focused, and understands that a successful Service Advisor must balance customer satisfaction, technician productivity, and communication amongst all parties.
Key Responsibilities
  • Greet customers promptly and professionally and establish a positive relationship.
  • Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle symptoms and requested services.
  • Write clear and accurate repair orders.
  • Inspect vehicles and communicate recommended maintenance and repairs based on manufacturer guidelines, technician findings, and vehicle condition.
  • Present repair recommendations and explain the value and importance of needed repairs in a clear, professional manner.
  • Prepare accurate estimates and obtain customer authorization before performing additional work.
  • Maintain consistent communication with customers throughout the repair process.
  • Work closely with technicians, parts personnel, and management to ensure repairs are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitor repair order progress and keep customers informed of changes to completion times or repair recommendations.
  • Review completed repairs with customers and explain work performed and charges.
  • Handle customer questions and concerns professionally and work toward effective resolutions.
  • Maintain high CSI and customer retention standards.
  • Identify opportunities to increase customer-pay and maintenance business while always recommending services based on the customer's actual vehicle needs.
  • Properly process warranty, service contract, and customer-pay repairs in accordance with dealership and manufacturer policies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow all dealership processes and procedures.
  • Meet or exceed individual and department performance goals.
What We're Looking For
  • Previous automotive Service Advisor or Service Writer experience preferred.
  • Strong automotive knowledge and the ability to understand and explain vehicle repairs.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong sales and relationship-building skills.

  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to use dealership computer systems and technology.
The Right Candidate
We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their customers and their results. The right person understands that being a Service Advisor is more than writing repair orders - it is about earning customer trust, communicating consistently, selling needed repairs, supporting technicians, and delivering an experience that keeps customers coming back.
If you are motivated, competitive, customer-focused, and take pride in doing things the right way, we want to hear from you.
Compensation & Benefits
