Welcome to NVIDIA's Quality and Reliability Group where we strive to develop and continuously improve quality system for better customer experience! This position is critical in maintaining the quality of NVIDIA's Automotive and Tegra products. We are looking for a Senior Product Quality Engineer (PQE) who has a strong technical experience in Automotive chip products, data analysis, manufacturing/functional testing and customer complaint handling. They will support the product throughout the lifecycle of the product from NPI (new product introduction) to production release and later for resolving customer complains.

What you will be doing:

  • Quality representative to the automotive NPI teams, supporting activities for customer and internal quality requirements.

  • Co-ordinate with multi-functional teams, aligning and maintaining the plan, methodologies, and requirements for chip failure analysis solution.

  • Champion customer quality issue root cause debug efforts by leading cross-functional teams using the 8D process. Lead failure analysis activities including data analysis, chip-level ATE, System level test (SLT) and Si FA tasks.

  • Assist in generating 8D failure analysis reports and verify/characterize corrective/preventive actions' effectiveness.

  • Create and review failure trends based on customer failure information and recommend necessary actions for continuous improvement with cross-functional teams.

  • Work with customer facing teams to understand quality and reliability expectations and requirements. Report Automotive Quality Metrics

  • Share lessons-learn from previous field quality issues; give early input via DFMEA to ensure known quality, reliability, production issues are identified, and risks are mitigated.

  • Quality representative for internal CRB and MRB meetings to ensure product quality meets NVIDIA standards and risk is understood/mitigated.

What we need to see:

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in Product/Test/Application/Quality Engineering

  • BS Degree or MS Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience).

  • Experienced in chip level failure analysis and debug.

  • Expertise in using Advantest V93000 Tester and Experienced in test equipment bring up

  • Familiar with system level test

  • Exposure to digital design, circuit analysis, schematic review, statistical analysis, firmware, drivers, and diagnostic software applications.

  • Comfortable with the use of lab tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, curve trace etc)

  • Outstanding problem-solving, collaborative, and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience of Automotive products and standards is a plus.

  • Good Knowledge of GPU/CPU product infrastructure and test methodology

  • Strong technical/debug skills in data analysis, test equipment and test program troubleshooting

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 148,000 USD - 235,750 USD for Level 4, and 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 5.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
