About the Position
Valley Gates is seeking an Field Service Technician with a strong mechanical and electrical background. Experience with automatic gates is preferred, but we are willing to train individuals from related trades. This position involves diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining automatic gate and access control systems. In addition to technical work, the job requires manual labor, lifting heavy materials, performing basic vehicle and shop maintenance. Technicians must be comfortable working outdoors year-round in the Las Vegas heat and varying weather conditions.
Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair automatic gate operators and access control systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage issues.
  • Install gate operators and related equipment.
  • Perform manual labor as needed, including digging with a shovel. 
  • Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
  • Complete service reports and communicate professionally with customers and office staff.
  • Perform basic maintenance of company vehicle.
  • Assist with shop maintenance, organization, cleanup, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Mechanical or electrical troubleshooting experience.
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs. and work outdoors in extreme heat and varying weather conditions
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
