Job description

FXCollaborative is an established architectural, interior design, planning, and urban design firm based in Brooklyn, NY. Noted for its commitment to sustainable design, the firm has been recognized through local, national, and international design excellence awards and feature articles in the most prestigious design publications. The practice encompasses corporate, civic, cultural, educational, transportation, residential, hospitality, office, retail, and mixed-use projects on a variety of scales.
We are currently accepting applications for talented Architectural Designers.
Position Responsibilities:
• Strong conceptual design ability and advanced graphic representation skills.
• Assist design teams on projects through all phases from Pre-Schematic Phase through Construction Documents.
• Work on programming research, zoning research, massing, orientation studies & design studies.
• Prepare design presentation documents, renderings, and materials for client meetings.
• Render design ideas and intent in forms of scale drawings, 3-D models, sketches, illustrations, and physical models.
• Research materials, products and furnishings based on project design goals.
Position Requirements:
• 5-8 years of related professional experience.
• Bachelor or Master degree in architecture required.
• LEED accredited preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment.
• Highly motivated self-starter, with an attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and other related design software.
