Job Responsibilities

As the Assistant General Manager at our Pennsylvania location, you will play a key role in daily operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with the General Manager and Executive Chef to provide leadership, direction, and training to team members by coaching, counseling, and providing performance feedback.
  • Providing direct support to the General Manager in all areas of responsibility and serving as acting GM in their absence.
  • Leading, developing, and motivating management and hourly team members to ensure excellence in execution and guest satisfaction at our Pennsylvania location.
  • Overseeing all food and beverage operations for the restaurant and our specialty bar area.
  • Assisting in forecasting, budgeting, and controlling costs, including food, beverage, and labor.
  • Analyzes financial reports and operational metrics to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.
  • Taking accountability for ordering produce, seafood, main food orders, and/or wine, liquor, and beer.
  • Conducting bi-weekly inventory in collaboration with the management team.
  • Overseeing scheduling to maintain proper staffing levels while meeting labor goals.
  • Leading recruitment, interviewing, and hiring efforts to build bench strength and maintain strong staffing levels.
  • Partnering with the GM to drive community involvement, local store marketing, and guest engagement initiatives for the Assistant General Manager.


Job Qualifications

To be successful as the Assistant General Manager at our Pennsylvania location, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • 4 years of high-volume, full-service restaurant experience in a management position.
  • Warm, passionate, and deeply committed to the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively coach and develop a team.
  • Ability to remain calm, cool, and collected under pressure.
  • Self-actualized, motivated, and self-disciplined with a well-maintained professional appearance.
  • Able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language of the work location.
  • Ability to reach, bend, push, and pull items for up to 10 hours each day.
  • Able to use fingers, hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively for up to 6 hours each day.
  • Able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for multiple hours in length.
  • Must have a sense of balance, and be able to bend, kneel, and lift items frequently weighing up to 35 pounds.
