Role Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated Product Owner – AI & API Platform to define product strategy, own the roadmap, and work closely with engineering, design, customers, and leadership to deliver world-class AI and API products. You will own the product lifecycle from idea to launch, transforming customer problems into scalable, high-impact solutions. The ideal candidate combines technical knowledge of APIs and AI with strong product management and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

•            Define and execute the product vision, roadmap, and strategy for AI and API platform capabilities.

•            Identify market opportunities through customer research, competitive analysis, and industry trends.

•            Prioritize initiatives that maximize customer value and business impact.

•            Translate business goals into clear product outcomes and measurable success metrics.

Product Ownership

•            Own the product backlog and prioritize features based on customer needs and business objectives.

•            Write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and product requirements.

•            Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release planning with engineering teams.

•            Ensure timely delivery of high-quality product releases.

AI Product Management

•            Drive features related to Generative AI, Agentic AI, AI Gateways, AI Agents, MCP, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).

•            Collaborate with AI engineers to define prompt management, model selection, evaluation, guardrails, and observability.

•            Help shape AI capabilities such as copilots, intelligent automation, and enterprise AI assistants.

API Platform

•            Define requirements for API Design, API Governance, API Testing, API Security, API CatLog, API Gateway, and API Lifecycle Management.

•            Drive API-first product strategy and developer experience improvements.

•            Understand REST, GraphQL, gRPC, OpenAPI, AsyncAPI, and API Management best practices.

Customer Engagement

•            Meet with enterprise customers to understand challenges and validate product direction.

•            Gather feedback, analyse usage metrics, and translate insights into product improvements.

•            Partner with sales and customer success teams to support product demonstrations and customer onboarding.

Cross-Functional Leadership

•            Work closely with Engineering, UX, QA, Marketing, Sales, and Executive Leadership.

•            Remove blockers, resolve priorities, and align teams around shared goals.

•            Communicate product updates, roadmap progress, and release plans to stakeholders.

Startup Ownership

•            Thrive in a fast-paced startup environment where priorities evolve quickly.

•            Take ownership beyond the job description and contribute across product, customer success, and go-to-market initiatives.

•            Balance speed of execution with product quality and scalability.

Required Qualifications

•            Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

•            5–10+ years of Product Owner or Product Manager experience in SaaS, API platforms, AI, or enterprise software.

•            Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and modern product development practices.

•            Experience managing technical products with engineering teams.

•            Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.

Technical Knowledge

AI & Generative AI: Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, Agentic AI, AI Agents, Prompt Engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Model Context Protocol (MCP), AI Gateways, AI Guardrails, AI Evaluation & Observability.

API Technologies: REST APIs, GraphQL, gRPC, OpenAPI Specification, AsyncAPI, API Lifecycle Management, API Governance, API Security, OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect, API Gateways (Apigee, Kong, AWS API Gateway, Azure API Management).

Cloud & Platforms: Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, GitHub

Preferred Qualifications

•            Experience with AI platforms such as Vertex AI, Azure AI Foundry, Amazon Bedrock, or OpenAI APIs.

•            Knowledge of LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, or Google ADK.

•            Experience with vector databases and enterprise search.

•            Familiarity with developer platforms, DevOps, and API ecosystems.

•            Startup or founder experience is highly valued.
