Summary
The Assistant Administrator shall assist in directing the administration and operation of the skilled nursing, assisted living and independent living facilities in collaboration with the VP of Operations. The Assistant Administrator is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and evaluation of organizational systems including the tactical management in the care, safety, and satisfaction of customers as well as all aspects of the facilityโ€™s operation such as human resources, regulatory compliance, life safety, and administrative support. The Assistant Administratorโ€™s authority stems from the VP of Operations and duties are carried out personally or through directors, supervisors, and employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Teamwork with the following and all other duties and responsibilities assigned.

1. Effective strategic and tactical leadership that includes supporting core values, addressing zero tolerance behaviors and maintaining active communication with all employees.
2. Assures compliance with the federal, state, local and accreditation standards, and regulations in operations of Skilled Nursing Facility.
3. Development, maintenance, and evaluation of operational systems development and smart workflows across the organization. Development, maintenance, and evaluation of customer service systems across the organization.
4. Assists the VP of Operations in overseeing, coordinating, and evaluating all departments impacting The Orchards.
5. Provides strategic oversight and operational direction and support to Human Resources department.
6. Develop, implement, and evaluate data collection systems to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness
7. Project management of initiatives to drive organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
8. Ensures employment of competent staff and supervisory employees.
9. Ensures communication with residents, residentโ€™s families, resident council, committees and staff to develop a spirit of cooperation and collaboration in addressing issues related to the operations.
10. Assists in coordinating the response to regulatory surveys and assures that accepted plans of correction are carried out working with the Administrator and Director of Nursing.
Other Responsibilities
1. Assist in the development, coordination, execution, and evaluation of the Continuous Quality Improvement Plan in collaboration with the Quality Assurance committee.
2. Aids in the development, administration, and monitoring of budgets and budget controls.
3. Maintains all licenses, approvals, and certificates required for the operation of the Skilled Nursing Facility.
4. Establishes and maintains professional contacts in the community at large and may act as a liaison to external stakeholders to assist in brand building.
5. Performs administrative support in any and all departments as needed.
