Accounts Payable Manager

San Antonio, Florida

Steadfast Contractors Alliance is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead our Accounts Payable department and support our rapidly growing organization. This position is ideal for a proven accounting professional with strong construction industry experience, a deep understanding of job costing, and the leadership skills necessary to manage and develop a high-performing team.

As one of the fastest-growing companies in the green industry, Steadfast is continuously investing in its people, processes, and technology. We are currently transitioning from QuickBooks to NetSuite, making this an exciting opportunity for a candidate who enjoys process improvement and helping organizations scale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Accounts Payable team, providing guidance, training, and performance oversight
  • Oversee the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing, approvals, vendor payments, and reconciliations
  • Ensure vendor invoices are coded accurately to jobs, divisions, and general ledger accounts
  • Maintain accurate job costing records and support project-level financial reporting
  • Review AP transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Division Managers, and Operations teams regarding job cost allocations and vendor billing issues
  • Manage vendor relationships and resolve payment discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Develop and improve AP workflows, internal controls, and reporting procedures
  • Support the company's ERP transition from QuickBooks to NetSuite
  • Monitor AP aging and cash flow requirements
  • Maintain organized records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes
QualificationsRequired:
  • Minimum 5 years of Accounts Payable experience
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Construction industry accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of job costing and project-based accounting
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
  • Experience with NetSuite
  • Experience working in landscape, construction, contracting, or service-based industries
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
