Job Title: Customer Account Representative Location: Christiansburg, VA Compensation: $19.00 - $25.00 Work Model: Undecided - various options available Hours: 40.0

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer order processing: entry, inspection, change processing, calculating, packaging.
  • Maintain customer-required websites and customer-specific reporting.
  • Assist the Accounting department with invoicing issues as needed.
  • Coordinate communication with freight forwarders or 3PLs as needed in shipping and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage customer return workflows.
  • Provide assistance to the Industrial Support team upon request.
  • Handle customer quote and other non-order related requests.
  • Notify the account owner of critical projects, issues, changes, etc. relevant to customer accounts.
  • Assist account owners with various customer requests.
  • Communicate professionally and timely with internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Oversee and ensure all assigned non-conformance reports are closed promptly.
  • Ensure accuracy of work instructions, policies, forms, and other controlled documentation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of related experience (Associates Degree in a related field may substitute for 1-2 years of experience).
  • Experience in data entry is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM, Microsoft Dynamics, and Great Plains.
  • 3 to 4 years of prior customer service experience.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with staff and management.
  • Experience resolving technical issues.
  • Good problem analysis and resolution skills.
  • Physical stamina to remain stationary, walk, kneel, and crouch; occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
  • Ability to operate a computer continuously and communicate with various levels of the organization.
  • Travel as needed.
