Position Summary

Customer service, handling incoming sales calls, and customer inquiries.

Essential Functions

  • Enter customer orders into the computer.
  • Answer incoming customer calls.
  • Quote customers prices on non-stock and stock items.
  • Find solutions to customer's problems.
  • Run delivery tickets for truck runs. Check truck run tickets upon return, do credits if necessary.
  • Pull literature and samples from stock as necessary.
  • Handle all customer pick up business.
  • Put together special truck runs and occasionally make truck run calls.
  • Enter entrance door tickets and window tickets.
  • Assist in counting inventory and checking stock.
  • Attend and assist with contractor meetings, clinics and sales meetings.
Qualifications

  • Understanding of and the ability to work with our sales catalog.
  • Must be able to work with customers and the general public effectively and courteously.
  • Analytical Skills - Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
  • Communication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.
  • Communication, Written - Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.
  • Problem Solving - Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.

Education Bachelor's Degree (four year college or university). May substitute experience for education.

Experience Knowledge of specialty building material product lines.

Skills & Abilities Computer Skills Highly experienced Microsoft Office user; and, demonstrated adaptability with other company integrated systems

Other Requirements Must have a valid motor vehicle operator's license. Must be willing to work outside of normal business hours to meet the customer's needs.
