Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Telemetry unit position requiring 2 years of experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Details
  • Work in the Telemetry unit of a 36-bed hospital
  • Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00)
  • Patient ratio of 1:6
  • Uses Epic charting system
  • Floating required to units of equal acuity
Requirements
  • Active RN license (TX State or Compact) in hand at time of consideration
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred
  • Prior travel nursing experience preferred
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Experience with cardiac telemetry, MS/Tele, and neurological/psychiatric patient populations
  • Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, and PICC line management
  • Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP and oxygen administration
  • Cardiac monitoring skills including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
  • Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and wound care
  • Renal and genitourinary care experience including pre/post hemodialysis management
Additional Information
  • Provide telemetry nursing care including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and rapid response coordination
  • Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties will not be considered
  • Local candidates residing within 50 miles are not accepted
  • Former staff members must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • No travel pairs or groups accepted
  • All requested time off must be disclosed prior to consideration, with no more than 3 days auto-approved and none during the first week of orientation
  • Must complete core onboarding items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
  • Onboarding modules completed onsite during orientation
