About the Position
We are seeking a dependable, organized, and patient-focused Radiology Patient & Administrative Coordinator to support a mobile mammography screening program in Illinois.
This is a non-clinical administrative position that will work closely with the Mammography Technologist and other members of the healthcare team. The coordinator will help manage patient check-in, appointment scheduling, paperwork, records, communication, and daily patient flow so the Mammography Technologist can remain focused on patient care and imaging responsibilities.

The ideal candidate is professional, welcoming, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly with patients.

Program Overview
This temporary mobile mammography program will operate for approximately 13 weeks, beginning with about seven weeks in Springfield, Illinois, and continuing for approximately six weeks in the Chicago Metro and Cook County area.
Candidates may be considered for the full 13-week assignment or for location-specific coverage in Springfield or Chicago, depending on availability and program needs. Applicants interested in the full assignment must be available to work at both locations and transition with the program from Springfield to the Chicago area.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and guests, assist with check-in, and help create a welcoming experience.
  • Support patient flow, including forms, scheduling updates, directions, and changing-room assistance.
  • Maintain organized patient records and complete basic administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, and uploading documents.
  • Support the Mammography Technologist with non-clinical administrative needs throughout the day.
  • Set up and prepare the screening area, changing area, forms, and supplies before the start of each shift.
  • Assist with light cleanup, reset, and end-of-shift breakdown.
  • Maintain patient privacy, confidentiality, HIPAA standards, and a clean, professional environment.
  • Perform other related non-clinical duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Previous experience in a medical office, front desk, scheduling, customer service, or other patient-facing administrative role preferred.
    • Healthcare, radiology, imaging center, hospital, or outpatient experience is a plus.
    • Strong communication, customer-service, and organizational skills.
    • Comfortable using basic computer systems, including Microsoft Office and electronic records or scheduling platforms.
    • Able to manage multiple tasks, maintain attention to detail, and work professionally in a patient-facing environment.
    • Able to protect confidential patient information and follow HIPAA requirements.
    • Reliable transportation and ability to report to assigned screening locations as scheduled.

    Travel Expectations
    The selected candidate will begin the assignment in Springfield and later transition to the Chicago Metro and Cook County area based on the program schedule. Approved lodging, mileage reimbursement, and other work-related travel support will be provided in accordance with the company's written travel and expense policy. Specific travel arrangements and eligibility requirements will be reviewed during the hiring process.
