About the Job: 

The Senior Manager, Asset Protection plays a critical role in helping protect Taco Bell's people, brand, restaurants, and assets by driving field-facing asset protection, safety, and security programs across our company-operated business. This role partners closely with People & Culture, Operations, Legal, Finance, Facilities, Communications, Yum! Asset Protection, and other cross-functional teams to reduce risk, investigate loss trends, improve safety and security practices, and strengthen restaurant leader capability. Reporting to the Director, Field People & Culture this is an exciting opportunity for a strong operator and problem solver to help shape and scale asset protection programs that support a safe, secure, and high-performing environment.

The Day-to-Day: 

    Partner with the Director, Field People & Culture to develop and execute asset protection, safety, and security practices that reduce risk and support the current and future needs of Taco Bell's U.S. company restaurants.  
    Lead, coach, and develop current Asset Protection team members, providing clear direction, ongoing feedback, and support to strengthen individual capability, drive performance, and ensure consistent execution of asset protection priorities across the business.
    Monitor and analyze internal cash loss, safety incidents, and security-related trends using CCTV, exception-based reporting, cash management tools, and field observations to identify root causes and recommend corrective action.
    Support and coach field leaders on asset protection best practices, investigations, incident response, and risk mitigation strategies that protect team members, customers, and company assets.
    Oversee and support investigations related to loss, fraud, policy violations, security incidents, and other asset protection concerns, partnering with Legal, People & Culture, Finance, and Operations as needed. 
    Manage day-to-day relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure effective support, strong service levels, cost efficiency, and protection of Taco Bell's business interests.
    Evaluate existing security and safety processes, tools, and technologies to identify opportunities to improve effectiveness, consistency, and scalability across the field and Restaurant Support Center.
    Partner with Facilities and Restaurant Support Center leaders to support physical security, crisis preparedness, and executive level special event security planning.
    Collaborate with Yum! Asset Protection and other enterprise partners to implement best practices, share insights, and support enterprise-aligned tools, reporting, and risk management initiatives.

Is this you? 

    Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of relevant education, certifications, training, and professional experience preferred. 
    8+ years of experience in asset protection, loss prevention, risk management, safety, security, or a related field in a large multi-state, retail, restaurant, hospitality, or similarly complex operating environment.
    Remain up to date on the latest industry safety and security technologies practices and behaviors
    Strong working knowledge of asset protection processes, investigations, cash loss controls, physical security systems, CCTV, exception-based reporting, and other modern risk-monitoring tools.
    Demonstrated ability to analyze issues, identify trends, solve problems creatively, and translate findings into practical field actions that reduce risk and improve performance. 
    Strong partnership, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to work effectively across People & Culture, Operations, Legal, Finance, Facilities, Communications, and external vendors.
    Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities, balancing tactical execution with longer-term program improvement and operational support,
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using reporting, case management, surveillance, or security-related systems; experience in restaurant or multi-unit field environments strongly preferred.
    Ability to create and present reports to senior leadership
    Ability to travel across the U.S., at times on short notice, and work in a hybrid environment based in Irvine, CA.

Salary Range: $145,000 to $170,000 annually + bonus eligibility + benefits
