Job description

The Manager will oversee, guide and coordinate all corporate activities in the designated region. These general guidelines then require the regional manager to participate in sales activities, product support activities, and customer relationship activities, safeguarding of corporate assets and developing of company personnel. The regional manager plays a significant role in the overall performance of the company.
Essential job functions include but are not limited to:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers in the region's support area
  • Be supportive of the machine sales process. The manager will assist the sales with customer development and conflict resolution. This position will be responsible for integrating the local salesmen into the branch team.
  • Support rental activity in the trade area. This position will work with rental management and must maintain awareness and knowledge of the capabilities of all rental support personnel at the branche(s).
  • Seek out and support new business opportunities in their region while being a brand ambassador for the company.
  • Oversee and manage all day-to-day operations of the parts and service departments in the trade area.
  • Planning and evaluating branch operations to be cost efficient.
  • Assume responsibility for the care and custody of corporate assets which would include machine and parts inventories, vehicles, tools and the facility. Assist the credit department as required.
  • Financial acumen with a general understanding of accounting.
  • Reviewing Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), and preparing / presenting monthly regional reports to executives.
  • Ensuring employees and direct reports follow the company's standards and procedures.
  • Responsible for mentoring and developing employees / team.
  • Ability to interact with vendors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
  • Must have a high school diploma/equivalent, or demonstrated industry experience, with a 4-year degree preferred
  • Must have supervisory experience, a minimum of 5 years of supervisory / leadership experience in the heavy equipment industry
  • This individual must be personable, a problem solver, self-motivated, reliable, ethical and able to maintain good relationships with customers, vendors, and employees
  • Proficiency in customer relationship skills
  • Possess knowledge of heavy equipment applications
  • Must have experience in managing all aspects of a business, with discretion in handling confidential company information
  • Experience and knowledge of P&L management
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM Series
  • Ability to overnight periodically for product training or company related business
  • Must pass background check, employment physical, and drug screen
