Job Description

About the Role

You will be part of the corporate Loss Prevention team supporting Williams-Sonoma, Inc. across our family of brands and locations domestically and internationally. The Associate Field Operations Manager is a supportive role that partners closely with the Field Operations Manager to help deliver a safe and secure environment for associates, customers, and visitors. You will assist with the coordination and execution of security programs, systems, projects, risk assessments, vendor activities, and operational processes across retail, global, corporate, and supply chain locations.

This role is designed to extend the capacity and effectiveness of the Field Operations Manager. The Associate Field Operations Manager supports day-to-day execution, follow-through, analysis, documentation, and coordination while the Field Operations Manager retains primary ownership for strategic direction, major decisions, budgets, vendor strategy, and complex program leadership.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will...

  • Support the Field Operations Manager in providing guidance and assistance to management teams on security and safety programs, procedures, technology, and site-specific needs.
  • Assist with security-system projects, including specifications, equipment selection, procurement coordination, installation follow-up, maintenance, and asset lifecycle tracking for alarm, access control, CCTV, fire, and related systems.
  • Support budget administration by tracking expenditures, invoices, forecasts, capital projects, and operating expenses; prepare information and reporting for review by the Field Operations Manager.
  • Maintain and utilize databases and reporting tools to track work orders, projects, equipment, vendor activity, and compliance with established policies and standards.
  • Assist with threat, vulnerability, and security/risk assessments for stores and other company locations; document findings, track corrective actions, and elevate significant risks to the Field Operations Manager.
  • Coordinate multiple projects and workstreams, helping establish timelines, organize requirements, track milestones, communicate status, and follow up with internal stakeholders and vendors.
  • Monitor key security programs and performance indicators, identify trends or gaps, and provide analysis and recommendations to the Field Operations Manager.
  • Support reviews of existing policies, procedures, and operational processes; help document and implement approved improvements with stakeholders.
  • Support vendor relationships by coordinating service activity, tracking performance and KPIs, validating deliverables, and assisting with vendor reviews. Vendor selection and contract negotiations will be led by the Field Operations Manager or designated leader.
  • Partner with IT to coordinate security-system requirements and help maintain systems in accordance with applicable security rules and compliance standards.
  • Partner with the Security Operations Center (SOC) and field teams to support the safety and security of sites within the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Provide timely documentation, reporting, and follow-up on incidents, projects, system issues, and operational priorities.
  • Support critical situations and after-hours response as needed, working under established escalation protocols and in coordination with the Field Operations Manager and other appropriate leaders.

We’re excited about you because you have...

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in physical security, loss prevention, security systems, field operations, project coordination, industrial engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting budgets, invoices, vendor accounts, projects, or financial tracking.
  • Working knowledge of security systems such as alarm, access control, CCTV, fire/life-safety, or other site systems is preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, time-management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on commitments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, procedures, project updates, and business communications.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with field teams, project teams, vendors, and multiple levels of management.
  • Proficiency with databases, spreadsheets, and business productivity tools; experience with Excel, Access or equivalent tools is beneficial.
  • The ability to interpret operational information, identify trends and risks, and elevate issues appropriately.
  • A willingness to learn the business landscape, security environment, and relevant marketplace trends that may affect field operations.

What will set you apart...

  • Experience supporting a multi-site retail, corporate, or supply chain security environment.
  • Experience coordinating security-system installations, service, or maintenance with multiple suppliers and vendors.
  • Relevant ESA or manufacturer certifications related to alarm, access control, CCTV, fire, or security systems.
  • Experience with project management, vendor performance measurement, work-order systems, or capital-project tracking.
  • Progress toward or possession of a relevant professional security certification, such as Physical Security Professional (PSP) or Certified Protection Professional (CPP).
