A&K has sales offices, and a network of storage and distribution facilities strategically located throughout the United States. Together, these offices and inventory locations maintain an extensive and comprehensive inventory of track materials across the nation. Our mission is to provide innovative solutions to promote lasting railway infrastructure.

Are you a strategic commercial leader who knows how to uncover value where others see surplus? Do you enjoy developing new markets, negotiating complex transactions, and turning underutilized assets into profitable opportunities? If so, A&K Railroad Materials wants to hear from you.

As the Manager of Asset Recovery and Secondary Markets, you'll lead the strategy for maximizing the value of scrap materials, surplus inventory, used railroad ties, industrial equipment, rolling stock, and other secondary assets generated throughout our nationwide operations.

This is a highly visible role where you'll combine market intelligence, business development, pricing strategy, and commercial negotiations to create new revenue opportunities. Working closely with operations, leadership, and customers across North America, you'll identify emerging markets, build strategic relationships, negotiate contracts, and help drive profitability across the business.

Requirements What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
  • 5+ years of experience in scrap recycling, metals sales, commodity trading, industrial asset recovery, or a related commercial role
  • Strong business development, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Knowledge of scrap markets, commodity pricing, and commercial contracting
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using Microsoft Office and ERP systems
  • Experience in the railroad, steel, manufacturing, foundry, or recycling industries is a plus
