About this role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lending Operations Senior Manager to join Commercial Banking Operations on the Capital Finance Operations (CFO) team within Wholesale Operations.

The Capital Finance Operations team supports Capital Finance by delivering comprehensive asset-based lending solutions, including sole lender, agented, and syndicated structures. These solutions serve asset-rich companies across the U.S., U.K., and Canada, spanning a wide range of industries.

This role sits within the Lending Servicing function and is responsible for end-to-end life-of-loan servicing activities. The scope includes client loan servicing, syndicated facilities, bought participations, and payoffs for Asset-Based Lending (ABL) portfolios. The role supports revolving and term loan facilities, as well as accounts payable activities, including pass-through expense billings such as field exams, appraisals, and legal fees.

Success in this role requires demonstrated leadership experience in:

  • Asset-Based Lending (ABL) operations, including account maintenance, settlements, accruals, and fee administration
  • Accounting and reconciliation oversight, ensuring accurate debit/credit processing and financial integrity
  • Interpretation and execution of complex credit and loan agreements, ensuring adherence to contractual terms
  • End-to-end operational governance, including review and approval of daily activity and completion of all EOD/EOM deliverables
  • Financial performance oversight, including preparation for and participation in EOM variance analysis and reporting
  • Client and partner collaboration, supporting Relationship Managers, Underwriters, and Collateral teams to deliver seamless service
  • Service excellence and risk mitigation, ensuring SLA attainment and minimizing errors and operational losses
  • Process optimization and team efficiency, identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities
  • Operational change leadership, including participation in enhancement initiatives and UAT testing for LUCAS (Loan Underwriting Collateral Analysis System)

In this role, you will:

  • Manage a multi-location staff of 6 to10 Commercial Loan Servicing Representatives
  • Manage and develop large Loan Production, Loan Servicing, and Commercial or Real Estate Construction Loan teams responsible for loan processing, documentation, pre-closing or closing tasks, loan monitoring, loan servicing, or underwriting activities
  • Engage and influence stakeholders, internal partners, and peers associated with the Lending Operations functional area
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development within Lending Operations functional area
  • Participate in the formulation and implementation of new and revised systems, policies, and guidelines
  • Oversee implementation of practices to ensure compliance with Wells Fargo legal, investor, regulatory, or business policies
  • Determine appropriate strategies and actions of Lending Operations team to meet moderate to high-risk deliverables
  • Interpret and develop policies and procedures for meeting compliance, risk management, and quality standards
  • Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals, including experienced managers
  • Interact with external customers throughout the conducting of loan processing and liquidations evaluation
  • Provide quality customer service
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Lending Operations
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Transactions and Processing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of management or leadership experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience leading AssetBased Lending (ABL) servicing operations, with responsibility for accuracy, controls, and delivery across complex, highvolume loan portfolios
  • Demonstrated capability to lead and scale teams through operational complexity, setting priorities, driving execution, and ensuring consistent performance under tight deadlines
  • Deep understanding of ABL loan documentation and credit agreements, with experience guiding teams in the interpretation and application of contractual requirements
  • Strong background in ABL accounting and financial operations, including reconciliation, settlements, accruals, and fee administration, with a leader's focus on risk management and accuracy
  • Experience establishing and overseeing EOD/EOM operational controls, including financial variance analysis, escalation, and seniorlevel communication
  • Proven ability to set and enforce service standards, driving SLA performance, issue resolution, and reduction of operational errors and losses
  • Track record of leading process improvement and operational change initiatives, including collaboration on system enhancements and UAT within lending platforms

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$119,000.00 - $224,000.00
