You’ll ensure Apple products and services can seamlessly and efficiently handle the tasks that make them beloved by millions. What happens when you run almost everything on an SoC all at once while powering down blocks, hammering new features, and running a complex suite of algorithms? You find bugs. That’s exactly what we do. We break Apple Silicon with our bare metal system level SW suite that runs mostly post-silicon, leverages pre-silicon and finds corner-case hardware bugs. Description
In this role, you will:
Write SoC and CPU directed and random tests
Debug issues pre-silicon or post-silicon
Develop and maintain system-level SW platform
Lead SW development and execution plans of SoC projects
Work with designers and architects to accomplish validation goals
Engaging with other teams at Apple to develop validation strategies based on product needs
Preferred Qualifications
SOC and CPU knowledge
Micro-architecture
Memory hierarchy
Interrupt and DMA
Clock and Power Gating.
System level understanding.
Experience with SoC bringup
Experienced C/C++ and Assembly language programmer
Expertise in Embedded programming with an understanding of hardware-software interfaces
Knowledge of Hardware and Software debug tools and methods
Experience with scopes is a plus
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in software engineering or related field with 10 years of experience.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
