Industrial Services Hose Assembly Technician 1858 Service Dr, Winona, MN 55987 HEADK Part-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pm
Up to 28 hours/week OVERVIEW: Working as Part-time Industrial Services Hose Assembly Technician, you will be involved with the overall success of the department by efficiently manufacturing a wide variety of hydraulic, industrial, and pneumatic hose assemblies. You will be using raw materials to create finished goods through a variety of ways such as cutting bulk hose to length and crimping end fittings take the raw materials and creating finished goods. You will also be working closely with our branches to assist them on a technical level to diagnose various needs of customers. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals. RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: o Processing hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial hose work orders o Using calibrated equipment to cut, crimp and perform other operations to create finished products o Checking finished product lengths, nominal diameters, and other features to ensure it meets quality standards o Assisting branches and vendors on a technical level in order to meet customers needs o Following all International Standardization Organization (ISO) quality procedures o Complying with safety regulations REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: o 18 years of age or older o Excellent written and oral communication skills o Proficient computer skills o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency o Mechanically inclined o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment o Work independently as well as in a team environment o Willingness to work a flexible schedule o Willingness to travel for trainings and customer visits o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork o Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: o Previous experience in Hose and Fitting or a related field o Knowledge of powered equipment, such as hydraulic and crimping ABOUT US: Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
