Position Overview
BGM is seeking a Receptionist / Tax Assembly Associate to join our team. This position plays an important role in creating a welcoming, professional experience for our clients while providing administrative and tax-processing support to our team.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable balancing multiple priorities, and enjoys being the person others can count on to keep things moving. This role combines traditional front-desk responsibilities with tax return assembly and document processing, particularly during busy tax seasons.
What You'll Do
  • Serve as a first point of contact for BGM by greeting clients and visitors, answering incoming calls, and directing questions to the appropriate team member
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and coordinate outgoing mail, FedEx, courier, and other deliveries
  • Assemble and prepare accurate, professional tax returns and related documents for client delivery
  • Scan, organize, and process tax documents and other client information
  • Help troubleshoot and resolve tax assembly questions in collaboration with team members
  • Maintain an organized and professional reception area and shared office spaces
  • Monitor and restock office, cafรฉ, and general supplies
  • Assist with administrative projects and maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems
  • Utilize Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and other Firm technology and software
  • Provide additional administrative support to the team as needs arise

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-3 years of reception, front desk, administrative, or similar professional experience
  • Previous experience in tax, accounting, financial services, or another professional services environment is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-service mindset
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to follow established processes while knowing when to ask questions or seek clarification
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to shift priorities as needed
  • Proactive, adaptable, and willing to jump in where needed
  • Comfortable using technology and learning new systems and processes
