Job description

Warehouse Team Member

Sam's Furniture is Northwest Arkansas' largest furniture destination. More than furniture, the company is also very active in the community as well as around the world. Our company mission statement is to be the BEST furniture store in Arkansas... while serving Others in Our Community, and Around the Globe. Starting pay: $15/hr-$17/hr.

Responsibilities:

  • Pick-up orders: Assisting customers in loading & securing their pick-up orders
  • Inventory: Unloading and back stocking merchandise
  • Delivery prep: Pulling merchandise for outgoing deliveries from warehouse
  • Assembly: Slight assembly of product to go to the showroom
  • Safety and housekeeping: Ensure a safe warehouse environment by keeping an organized & clean area. Disposing of any trash & perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to bend, stand, reach, pull, lift and carry items in the warehouse
  • Must work weekends
  • No prior experience required
  • Basic materials handling skills
  • Understanding of safety regulations, including OSHA standards
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks (training provided)
  • Mechanical knowledge and heavy lifting capability are advantageous
  • Willingness to learn inventory management and warehouse operations
  • Ability to work in both hot and cold environments dependent on season
  • Ability to stand up to 8 hours
