Delta Systems & Automation LLC seeksMechanical Assembly Techniciansto join our team.


In this role, you will assemble components and equipment per specifications in an accurate, neat, and timely manner that meets both business and customers' needs.


Responsibilities:

  • Assembly and sub-assembly of components and metal parts according to drawings and blueprints
  • Communicate with co-workers who have experience with specific customer requirements
  • Communicate job material shortages or specification discrepancies that could impact the completion of an assignment
  • Communicate and work cooperatively with co-workers as part of a team
  • Maintain cleanliness of work and common areas
  • Return all unused components to a mechanical supervisor or department manager

Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings
  • Ability to read technical instructions to properly install various components
  • Sufficient math ability to calculate proper dimensions and specifications
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to manipulate assembly components.
  • Ability to use hand tools including but not limited to rulers, tape measure, calipers, micrometers, screwdrivers, tee square, machinist square, wrenches and pliers
  • Ability to use power tools including but not limited to drill, tap, hole saw, jig saw, reciprocating saw

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of work experience in complex machine assembly preferred
  • 2-year trade school degree is preferred
  • Background in industrial automation is a plus
  • Reliable and self-motivated
  • Detail-oriented and close attention to accuracy
  • Must have own hand tools

Physical Demands:

  • This position will frequently be working on equipment with potential hazards. Appropriate safety equipment and practices are required.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Occasionally may be required to lift items weighing up to 100 pounds. Must be able to push/pull up to 100 pounds.
  • Position requires sitting, standing, walking, twisting, climbing, and crawling.
  • Position requires daily bending, stooping, kneeling, or squatting with handling and outward reaching.

This is a full-time position at our climate-controlled facility. The hours are 7:00 am -3:30 pm Monday-Friday; some overtime and travel may be required.
